Slow Down...
Breathe...
And Come Home...
To Your "SELF"!

I came into the sandtray session open-minded, but a bit guarded and scared,
not sure of what to expect. In a very short time, Selvy, with her warm and
gentle energy, immediately earned my trust and I felt relaxed. I was
touched, moved, and inspired by Selvy's insights and introspection during my
session. Toy items that seemed meaningless suddenly became critical pieces
of a puzzle that helped me piece together and illuminate things that
happened in my past. This was the true beginning of a healing process. With
Selvy's skillful observation and powerful questions, events I had not
thought about in years suddenly came back to life, but not in an
uncomfortable or unsettling way. They came back in a way that would open the
door and see things from a different angle. I was looking inward. I left the
session feeling empowered and inspired. In one 2 hour session, I gained more
understanding of myself than a decade of seeing traditional therapists
combined.

I really enjoyed the meditation experience. It was so non-threatening and
helped me to get to a place where I could be open and honest with my
feelings and reactions. The sandtray experience was amazing. directions were
clear, and it was also made clear we were free to ask questions. very
pleasant and enlightening. Felt very comfortable and nurtured during whole
session. Selvy had a very warm, inviting way of helping you to find what you
need and to get the most out of the session. Certainly would recommend this
to a friend... and have!

I think this work is a gift and truly unique. Selvy has a gift to allow you
to explore inside with ease and comfort. The more you allow for the
experience the greater the reward. Both the individual session and group
experience were insightful, moving, and emotional. I would recommend this to
a friend and want so many people to come!

As a working mom, this sandtray experience allowed me to take a peaceful,
personal moment to reflect and appreciate the woman I am and the woman I am
becoming.

I had a sandtray session with Selvy and I just want to say how surprised I
was at what happened. I have been on a spiritual journey now for some 15
years, and was feeling rather confused about the direction I should be
moving in. I did not have any idea what to expect from the session, or what
it would entail. In the beginning of the session, we did a meditation and
Selvy invited me to state my intention for the session. What I thought of
was guidance on my spiritual direction, and then we went to play. And I say
play and not work, because it felt much more like play.
She invited me to select any miniatures that moved me in any way. I ended up
collecting two big baskets full of things. The miniatures were everything
from shells and stones, to spiritual figurines, animals, food, plants,
people in all configurations, shapes, buttons with words, - anything anyone
could think of was represented in a miniature.
Then she asked me to arrange the miniatures in the tray of sand. I don't
remember if there were specific instructions on how to arrange them, but
what came up was startling. I had represented many facets of my life and
personality with these little figurines. I had always thought of myself as
pretty simple, and I saw in the sandtray a very complex and diverse person.
And what I learned was that the best way for me to practice my spirituality
was to be the best me I could be, and to create a loving and safe space for
my family to do the same.
Sounds fairly obvious, but was very profound for me. Sometimes my tendency
to complicate things makes the obvious almost impossible to see. The
creative process of the sandtray helped me access my simplest answer, which
is usually the right one.
Selvy created a warm, safe environment for me to do some exploring. I felt
loved and supported by her through the whole process - there were no wrong
answers - only my answers. She just gave me the vehicle with which to find
them. I highly recommend Sandtray to anyone who is looking for their own
answers within themselves, but needs a loving, supportive environment in
which to do so. Selvy is wonderful at what she does because of who she is -
a loving and supportive person who truly cares for those she serves. I am
grateful she is part of my journey.
